Confirmation of booking

Bookings may be confirmed by credit/debit card or by cheque deposit. Please make cheques payable to Amber House

If you choose to confirm by card, no deposit is required, and we are happy to hold the room with your card details as security. (Please see cancellation policy below).

Cancellation

We require a minimum of 7 days notice of cancellation of booking.  If a booking is cancelled with less than 7 days notice, we reserve the right to charge in full in the event that we are unable to re-let the room. 

 We would strongly recommend that you consider taking out travel insurance.

Check in times

Rooms available for occupancy from 12 noon to 7pm.  Guests wishing to arrive earlier than this are welcome to check in their luggage and park their car.  Late arrivals strictly by prior arrangement only.

Check out times

Guests are required to check out by 10.00 am

to allow us to prepare for our next visitors.  You are welcome to leave luggage with us if you wish to spend more time enjoying our beautiful city.

Non-Smoking

For the health and safety of our guests, Amber House is a strictly non-smoking residence.  We reserve the right to charge a fee of a maximum of £100 for specialist cleaning of your room if this policy is not adhered to.
